As a build up to our next unit, we are going to look at advertising and commercials from the point of view of the best. Aside from having funny accents, and eating lots of chocolate, one thing that makes the British stand out, is their advertising. In the UK, the ‘advert’ is an art form, and like many art forms, it even has its own annual awards ceremony.
Now that we know how to spoof, we are ready to look at the real thing.
Assignment:
Your assignment is to visit the British Advertising Awards website and to evaluate 3 ads from the 2009 winners. You should click on the black “more” button, and then browse to the 2009 winners section.
Download and print the advertising analysis worksheet, and complete as fully as possible. If there is a section that you do not think applies to your ad, be sure to write ‘NA” rather than leave it blank. Blank responses will be marked incorrect.
All work due before 2nd class this week.
